Girls Basketball Winter League For Grades 2 - 8th

The Winter League runs November through March, 2018.(Final dates TBC). Team selection, practice times, and game schedules are finalized and disseminated prior to the first practice.  Times and locations for all events are subject to change during the season.  In such cases, the OGRCC will notify you ASAP.  

Volunteers are key to a good experience for the youth.  Please volunteer when registering.  Your participation is what creates the experience for so many children, including your own.

 

About our Girl’s Basketball Divisions

  • 2nd and 3rd Grade Division: Parent coach volunteers 
  • 4th and 5th Grade Division: Parent coach volunteers 
  • 6th to 8th Grade DivisionIn this division, players are coached by Greenwich High School Girls Varsity members. Parent volunteers are needed to substitute when conflicts arise with the GHS Girls Varsity Basketball schedule.
  • High School Division: Coming Soon

League Starts Week of November 6th!

Practice:  60 minutes, once a week.

Grade 2-3:

Mon. 5-6PM, Mon. 6-7PM, Mon. 7-8PM. Tue. 5-6PM, ,Tue. 6-7PM, or Tue. 7-8PM

Grade 4-5

Mon. 7-8PM, Tue. 7-8PM, Wed. 5-6PM, Wed. 6-7PM, or Wed. 7-8PM

Grade 6-8

Thur. 6-7PM, Thur. 7-8PM, or Thur. 8-9PM

Games:  4th-5th Grade Division will play on Saturday between the hours of 3-8pm . 2-3 & 6th-8th Grade Divisions will play on Sunday between the hours of 12-7pm.

Venue: Games & Practices will be held at either ISD or Old Greenwich School. There will be some instances where games or practices will be held at an alternative location(s) .

The Old Greenwich – Riverside Community Center (OGRCC) offers one of the most comprehensive community youth and adult recreational, athletic, educational and social programs.
