Learn about the Greenwich United program!

The U12 age group Greenwich United teams are formed to provide Greenwich-based players the platform to develop and continue their soccer experience as we move toward the 11v11 game and beyond. Merging players from the two clubs (OGRCC Thunder and Greenwich Soccer Association) has proven a successful model over the past 20 years in providing developmentally appropriate level soccer for a wide range of players in addition to being able to offer extensive playing opportunities for Greenwich-based players.

On Monday, March 4th, at 8 pm, we will host a Zoom meeting.  During the call, Greenwich United Boys Director / GHS Boys Head Coach Kurt Putnam and Simon Rumbold, Greenwich United / OGRCC Soccer Director / GHS Girls Head Coach, will give information regarding Greenwich United and field questions you may have about the program and in navigating the ever-changing CT / NY soccer landscape.

In addition to the meeting on March 4th, we are inviting all interested players to join us at a get-together session that gives players the chance to meet each other and the coaches and run through what a Greenwich United practice will look like. The information for those sessions is below:

Greenwich United is the in-town club for players looking to develop towards future playing aims whilst being local, having coaches deep-rooted in the community who coach only 1-2 teams in town while offering access to the highest, non-Academy levels of premier soccer in the tri-state region – we are one of only a couple of town based programs in the state that can do so.
